I’ve always been independent and active, I love fitness, the outdoors, and being in and around the water. That sense of freedom was challenged when I became a parent.

Suddenly, everyday outings felt physically and mentally heavy. Back aches from carrying kids on my hip. Constant lifting up and down. And the ongoing question of whether it was even worth packing everything just to head out for a short adventure.

Water trips were the hardest.
At the beach, I needed to carry my baby through the ocean. At the pool and splash parks, I needed my hands free and it was too stressful trying to keep track of my toddler (with one hand!)

Every carrier I owned had the same problem — they couldn’t get wet.

I realised there were no truly waterproof baby carriers on the market. Nothing designed for parents who still wanted to move confidently in and around water while carrying their child.

So I created one. 

I set out to design the best waterproof baby carrier possible — comfortable, supportive, and practical for real family adventures. It took time, but it completely changed how our family experienced outings around water.

That first product became the foundation of Little Current.

Today, we design baby carriers, backpacks, and essentials that reduce the friction of getting out with young kids, so families can feel more free, more capable, and less limited by logistics.
